- ½ tbsp baking soda
- ½ tbsp baking powder
- ¼ tbsp salt
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup ½ cup milk
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp milk
- ½ tbsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup powdered sugar
Preheat & Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan with non-stick spray.Mix Dry Ingredients:
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
Make the Batter: Gradually add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Avoid over-mixing.
Fill the Pan & Bake: Pour the batter into a piping bag or use a spoon to fill the donut molds about ¾ full. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let them cool before glazing.
Prepare the Chocolate Glaze: Melt the chocolate chips and butter together in a microwave or over a double boiler. Stir in milk, vanilla, and powdered sugar until smooth.
