Equipment

  • 1 Large bowl

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • ½ tbsp salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • ½ tbsp dried parsley
  • ½ tbsp garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt. Stir well to ensure even distribution.
  • Add the cheese: Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese, making sure it is evenly coated with the flour mixture.
  • Incorporate the wet ingredients: Slowly pour in the milk and melted butter. Gently mix until the dough just comes together; avoid overmixing to keep the biscuits light and fluffy.
  • Shape the biscuits: Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet using a spoon or ice cream scoop. Aim for about 2 tablespoons of dough per biscuit, spaced 1-2 inches apart.
  • Bake: Place the biscuits in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
  • Prepare the topping: While the biscuits bake, mix the melted butter, dried parsley, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl.
  • Brush and serve: Once the biscuits are out of the oven, generously brush the tops with the prepared butter topping. Serve warm and enjoy!
